Thrive Tribe proudly partners with Carolina Parent Defenders(CPD), a holistic legal defense organization co-founded by our Executive Director, Toia Potts. This partnership bridges community advocacy with direct legal intervention, ensuring families are not only supported emotionally, but also protected legally.

Through CPD, families facing CPS investigations gain access to free, high-quality legal representation rooted in dignity, equity, and family preservation. Together, Thrive Tribe and CPD work to intervene early, often before charges are filed, connecting families to both legal defense and critical resources such as housing, employment, and community support.

This collaboration allows us to provide a full-circle support system:

• Legal protection to fight unjust charges
• Community-based resources to stabilize families
• Advocacy to prevent unnecessary system involvement

At the heart of this partnership is a shared belief:
Families should be supported, not separated, and justice should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
